Jenny Zoe Casey is a Brooklyn-based artist whose practice explores the experience of sound as visual form. She is drawn to humble materials — graphite, plaster, paper, and cloth — and frequently pushes against the flat surface, accumulating layers, cutting into material, building forms that claim territory between drawing, sculpture, and collage. Her visual language encompasses waves, pulses, and resonant marks that translate the energetic life of quiet sound into made things.

Born in Oregon and raised in rural and working-class neighborhoods on the island of Oahu, Casey earned a BFA from the California College of Arts and Crafts and an MA in Art History from the University of Washington. Her work has been shown nationally at colleges, universities, community art centers, and artist-run spaces. She has completed residencies at the Vermont Studio Center and the Oxbow School of Art, received an Illinois Arts Council grant, and has contributed writing to Two Coats of Paint.
